"It's the same f*ckin' job!"

This sneak peek from episode 5 is called, "Nora's Secret!" Pia and Nora are at the gym having a screaming match. Apparently Pia knows a secret, that Nora also worked in the same strip joint years ago. Nora claims it was only for three or four months. Pia is mad because Renee is judging her for pole dancing, but not judging Nora. Pia thinks Nora influenced Renee. Nora hits way below the belt, saying she just danced, she didn't go to the VIP room for five hours with special clients! Now we are getting somewhere!

"I need a bigger seat, I got a fat ass!"

In episode 5, called "Heart Break and Betrayal," Nora decides she wants to celebrate her birthday by taking the girls Go-Kart racing. It looks like no one is happy with this bright idea. Pia is worried about her new boobs getting damaged. Leah is crammed into a car three sizes too small for her. Pia watches as Christina, Leah and Nora drive "like grandma's" creeping around the track. Leah says, her mother just got diagnosed with cancer and she ain't going to put her life in danger. Once again Leah steals the scene! You can't watch this and not laugh!

Frank Russo, bartender and cast member.
We all know the “Big Ang” show is premiering tonight at 9:00 pm on VH1 following the  Mob Wives Chicago. I’m not the only one getting ready for this night, but the cast from the Big Ang show are also preparing themselves for the red carpet in Manhattan. I got the chance to meet with Frank Russo, one of the bartenders at the Monkey and asked him a few questions.
Hi Frank, so nice to meet you! Thank you for taking the time to answer a few questions.Oh, no problem, I was looking forward to it.
First of all, I must ask your age.25
I guess there goes my crush because I set the age limit from the age of my nephew, who is 28.  Where did you grow up? Right here on  Staten Island.

How long have you worked at the Drunken Monkey? Since I was 21. I was off and on for a short time but then I returned.
How did you learn to bar tend? Big Ang taught me everything I know. I came here as a kid and she taught me how to bartend.
Explain what Big Ang means to you? Ah...shes like a mom, sister, friend and of course a boss. But not really like a boss.
Besides bar tending a few days a week, what else do you do and what are your other interests? I am part-owner and trainer at Dolphin Fitness on Forest Avenue, right here on Staten Island.  When I am not working, and have time off, I like to spend it with my friends relaxing.
Speaking of friends, I know Anthony is also a bartender here at the Monkey, what's your relationship with him? Anthony is like a mentor to me and we became very good friends.
Tell me a little bit about your personality and what you like about it. I like that I have the  ability to work well with people. I am very sociable and people are drawn to me. I can easily build relationships with them.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now? Definitely in business. I have some goals, whether it be in a gym or another business but def in business.
Besides Big Ang what other mob wives are you closest to? Renee, she comes in here and also Jenn, who isn' t really a mob wife, but the great mind behind the show. We have gotten very close since the connection to the show
Do you watch Mob Wives Chicago? Yes, of course!
Do you like it? Yeah!
Are you dating? Nope, I'm single.
Well thank you so much Frank. I look forward to watching you on Sunday nights. Yeah,  thank you and don't forget to send me the links to the blog!
That concluded  my interview with Frank.
Renovated Drunken Monkey!
If you would like to meet Frank Russo, he tends bar on Wednesday and Friday nights at the Drunken Monkey. I did stay of course, and mingled with Big Ang and her brother, Steve, along with his wife, Maria. They are very warm people and we had a few laughs. There were a lot of family members there, but I would need to do a  family tree to put it all together. The Drunken Monkey is a meeting place for not only the reality stars and their families, but they welcome the locals and of course fans, who make a trip in to see them. The bar has been recently renovated and has a sleek look to it. Each of the lamps are different and ornate and provide warm lighting.  Behind the bar are Miami blocks, lit with a nice touch of  blue lighting. The bar has a DJ and a dance floor to make everyone happy. There's also a photo machine, where you can take your picture and have it personalized with a Drunken Monkey logo. Just across the street from the bar, is the now famous Big Ang mural, which I have been told is in every borough. Good Luck to Big Ang, her cast and her family.

Mob Wives Chicago: Recap “Heartbreak & Betrayal” Ep 105

To contact us Click HERE
Leah and mom at lunch

At Nora’s apartment, Pia arrives. Nora starts saying she had a bad day and Renee is gone. She tells Pia she felt like she was in a freak show. She explains what happened at the bar between her and Renee. Renee wasn’t talking while Nora was telling her all her issues. When Renee did start talking she was pointing her finger in Nora’s face. Nora says she went to grab her finger and then she ended up hitting Renee in her face. Nora went to run out and Renee chased her and pulled her down and pulled her hair. Pia says she had to defend herself. Pia says their friendship is over…done!

Leah and her mother go out to lunch. Leah’s mother lived down the street from Leah and her father, and she saw her all the time growing up. Leah says she walks like her mom, talks like her mom and has her sense of humor. Her mother was just diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer. Her mom says life goes on. Leah says she took the news hard and she is worried about her mom. Her mother says she knows she loves her, but she wants Leah to be strong for her, no tears. Leah knows her mother is strong and they are going to beat this cancer.

Renee and Christina meet. Christina went to school for fashion design, but put it on hold because of the divorce. Now she is going back to it and she is looking at material with Renee. Renee tells her the story of what happened between her and Nora at the bar. She says she listened to everything Nora had to say and then she started to talk. Nora grabbed her finger and then slapped her face. Christina is shocked because they have been friends a long time. Renee says she chased Nora and threw her on the ground before she could run out. Christina is worried for Nora because she feels she is burning all her bridges with everyone except for Pia.

STOP with the Renee already!
Nora and Pia are taking their dogs out for a little play date when Nora mentions Renee AGAIN!  Pia is so sick of hearing about Renee. She tells Nora to forget about Renee and leave her alone. Pia tells her she is consuming herself with Renee. Pia starts getting more and more agitated. She is tired of hearing about Renee and it’s coming between her friendship with Nora. Get over her! Pia says Nora gave Renee her heart and soul only to get hurt. If Nora doesn’t get over Renee, it’s going to ruin their friendship.

Christina sees Anne, her therapist. She tells her that her daughter heard from a neighbor that she and her husband are divorced. Christina asks her daughter what did she say and her daughter says, “no they’re not.” Then Christina tells her that they are divorced but living together. Her daughter asks, “why did you lie to me?” Christina cries and at the same time feels relief that the secret is out. She is upset she didn’t tell her daughter first. There may be some trust issues in the future resulting from this situation.

Nora calls Christina and invites to her birthday party. There will be a party bus taking them to a fun, undisclosed location. Christina is a little apprehensive. Nora tells her Renee is not invited and she asks her to bring Leah too.

Maybe Renee feels forgiving because it's Lent?
Renee and Giana meet for coffee and a chat. Renee doesn’t tell her about her fight with Nora. They discuss going to visit Giana’s father in jail, he is in prison for murder. Renee offers to go with Giana, but Giana doesn’t think it’s a good idea because they hate each other. Giana says she found out about her father when she was in 6th grade. She is afraid that if her mother goes with her, the two of them will end up fighting and she doesn’t want that . She appreciates Renee’s offer and says she will ask her dad how he feels.

Like sisters.
Leah and Christina meet up and Leah tells her she was invited to Nora’s birthday party. Leah says I’ll put on my dancing shoes and go. Christina tells her what happened about her daughter finding out she is divorced from a neighbor. Then she asks Leah how she is doing and Leah starts crying. Leah tells her that her mom was diagnosed with cancer. Christina says Leah acts tough but she has a soft heart. Christina says they are like sisters. She was to help her friend and her mother.

Leah and Pia are going shopping for Nora’s birthday gift. Leah says she wants to buy Nora “common sense.” They are curious about Nora’s destination because she told them what they should and should not wear to the party. Leah feels bad that Renee isn’t invited. Pia says she is sick on hearing about Renee. Leah depends on Pia for gift advice and they end up getting her a leopard print top.

Giana has a career in entertainment!
Giana gets a call from her dad in prison. She is excited. She enjoys talking to her dad. She loves him he says he is funny, caring and thoughtful. He worries about her. She is beautiful. The thought of her father being in prison haunts her. She would give anything to spend some quality time with him. She asks him what he thinks about Renee going to visit the prison with her. He laughs and says he will leave it up to her. The call is over with them telling each other “I love you.”

Nora says she wants to feel like a kid again. Christina is ready to party. The load she has been carrying around for the past couple of years has been lifted off her shoulders. The divorce is out of the bag. Nora says Pia wants guys to buy her gifts and pay for her. Pia says Nora would let a guy pay for her in a heartbeat. Nora says she would rather pleasure herself than let a guy pay. Leah is quite a bit disgusted by that visual image.

Leah cringes at the image Nora just painted!
The party destination is Go-Karts. Leah isn’t happy, but Christina is because she always wanted to be a race car driver. Pia has to worry about her recent surgery on her boobs and she isn’t going. They are driving so slow. Leah yells out she needs a bigger seat for her fat ass. Leah says she has to be careful because her mom was just diagnosed with cancer. Christina and Nora end up racing around the track while Pia and Leah watch. Pia is glad Nora is having a good time. The ladies have a little celebration while they are there. Other people were invited, but no one else showed up for her party. Leah says Nora is a little girl trapped in a woman’s body.

Marco, Giana’s best friend, meets her to discuss her situation with her dad. She tells him her mom wants to go with her to the prison. She thinks it’s a bad idea, but she wants his opinion. Marco feels her mother has a lot of resentment towards her father and she doesn’t understand the bond she shares with her dad. Giana needs her dad in her life.

Back to Nora’s party, the girls share a drink or two and Christina is happy they are all getting along. She wants to have a party of her own to celebrate her independence. She asks Nora if she will come to her party. Nora says she will, but Christina adds, even if Renee comes? Nora retracts her statement and say she will have to think about it. Leah understands that Christina doesn’t want to exclude anyone so there better be an ambulance there too.

Renee shows up at Christina’s house to see the design that Christina made with the fabric they picked out. Renee loves it and can’t wait to try it on. Christina fills Renee in on Nora’s party. Renee is glad she wasn’t invited. Christina invites her to her party next week. She tells Renee she doesn’t know if Nora will be there because she said things were still fresh between her and Renee. Renee doesn’t want to see Nora either.

Pia and Nora are at the gym talking. They both enjoyed Nora’s party. Nora says she doesn’t know if she will go to Christina’s party. Pia says Christina came to her party and will be hurt if she doesn’t go. Pia says she should extend Christina the same courtesy she just showed to her. Nora says she cannot predict how she will react if Renee is there and that’s why she can’t say she will go. Pia says she thinks Renee is so judgmental about her dancing because of things Nora has told her. She doesn’t understand why Renee accepts Nora, who also worked at the same place doing pole dancing. Nora tells her to ask Renee why, she has no idea. Pia says they were doing the same job and it makes no sense for Renee to feel one way about her and another about Nora. Nora says she only worked there three or four months, maybe that’s why. Things get heated. Nora blurts out, maybe it’s because I didn’t take clients up to the VIP room for 5 hours. Then she calls Pia a whore. Pia is beyond pissed.

MY TWO CENTS

There sure was a lot of talking going on in this episode. I finally caught a little break when the ladies went to drive the go-karts. Did you know I type the recap during commercials and after the show? Well, let’s see what all the ladies had to say tonight.

Leah. Leah’s mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. I can relate to all the emotions she is feeling and I know how her mom must feel too. It’s devastating news. It’s obvious how close Leah’s family is from what we have seen in the show already of her and her parents. Her brother tweets his support for her and the show all the time. I pray Leah’s mom will win her battle with cancer. Medicine has done remarkable things in treating that particular disease. Leah has a good friend in Christina too.

Leah doesn’t need any writers. I think someone should be watching and writing down all her lines from the show. Maybe you should Leah, in case you write a book later on! “I need a bigger seat, I have a fat ass!” “I want to buy her some common sense.” “I understand that Christina doesn’t want to exclude anybody, but there better be an ambulance there too.” “I don’t want to hear about Nora pleasuring herself.” No way a writer could come up with those lines. I love her!

Christina. Her daughter found out about the divorce from a neighbor. Didn’t I just say that last week? Yes I did! And I mentioned trust issues may be the result. I know Christina is a good mother and wants to protect her daughter from the cold hard facts of life, but you can’t put yourself in a position where the child will learn of these things from a stranger. Having said that, I’m sure Christina is a wonderful mother and that why I am going to go out on a limb and tell you what I really think. I could be wrong, but I seldom am. I really think that if Christina’s divorce was really a “secret” from her daughter, she decided to tell her the truth before she started filming Mob Wives Chicago. I think she sat her down and told her about the show and the divorce. There is no way in hell she was going to air her secret on national television and have her daughter blindsided by someone who watched it or read about it. Christina is too good a mother to let that happen. That’s what I think. That’s what makes sense to me.

Now that the “cat” is out o the bag Christina is feeling a huge sense of relief not having to carry this burden around and she wants to have a party to celebrate her independence. Too bad the timing of her party stinks. Renee hates Nora, Pia hates Nora, and Pia ain’t crazy about Renee and vice versa either. The only two who like each other are Christina and Leah. Leah is right…Christina needs to have an ambulance there. Can’t wait till next week!

Renee. Renee wants to go to the prison with Giana. I think it’s a terrible idea. She will have a meltdown when she sees how well Giana and her father relate to each other. I think Marco was on the money. She won’t understand why Giana feels so much love for a man who wasn’t there for her and treated her mother badly, when Renee did everything in her power to provide for her. I believe Renee thinks she will be okay with it and is trying to be supportive of her daughter, but this is a recipe for disaster and will just cause more hard feelings between mother and daughter.

Renee is bonding more with Christina. What choice does she have? Her once good friend Nora, is now her mortal enemy. She intensely dislikes Pia for no good reason. I don’t think she is going to “click” with Leah, but for now they can be cordial. She has to interact with someone in the show. If she goes to Christina’s party, all hell is going to break loose between her and Nora. But I think when it comes to phyiscal fighting, Nora will back way off and Pia will jump in and take on Renee. With Pia and Nora having the same enemy, it might help them patch up their differences. We’ll see.

Nora. Nora’s issues with Renee are not going to go away because of what she said to Renee. “I hope you lose your daughter!” is something that has burned a hole into Renee’s brain. It’s unforgivable. Everyone agrees with that and no apology is going to fix it. On top of that, her ongoing judgmental remarks and insults to Pia have hit an all time high. Once again she calls Pia a “whore” saying she takes clients up to the VIP room for 5 hours. They must have a clause in their contracts that say you can’t sue anyone for slander or libel for anything they say on the show because if that isn’t true, Pia has grounds for a lawsuit. I think Christina is right to worry about Nora. I don’t know how she is going to patch things up with either of these two ladies. However, I think Nora is using “common sense” when she says she has to think about going to Christina’s party. I hope she thinks good and hard about it and trusts her instincts or make sure her medical insurance is paid up.

Pia. Pia, Pia, Pia. What happened to our Pia? Pia has decided to pull out all the stops. She is fed up with Renee and all talk of Renee. She reached her limit and now she has a no problem saying everything that’s on her mind and then some. Thanks to editing, I don’t know if Nora talked about Renee for 5 minutes or 5 hours, but it was enough to send Pia over the edge. I can see where Pia is coming from. Pia has been trying to be a good friend to Nora and even let some very rude insults from her slide. She almost jeopardized her friendship with Christina over Nora. She defended Nora against Renee. What does she get in return? Nora was continually defending Renee to Pia. And now that Nora is angry with Renee, you might think that it would ease the tension between her and Pia, but no. Nora has been as judgmental of Pia as Renee, if not more so. Her remarks about Pia and her dancing have been more degrading and insulting than anything that Renee has said to her. It’s pretty hard to overlook personal attack after personal attack. Maybe Nora has crossed a line with Pia that she can’t mend. Let bygones be bygones can only go so far, especially when you are making the same remarks over and over again. Remember when Nora denied saying those things to Pia’s cousin? Why wouldn’t she have, she has said them everywhere else, including to Pia. Maybe her dear friend, Franky, has helped Pia see the light where Nora is concerned? Stay tuned!

What did you think of this episode? There was definitely more drama. I am so glad Pia is speaking up. This is exactly what Christina was trying to get her to do at the dinner! Stand up for herself! You don’t let people talk about you like that and let it roll off your shoulders. You have to demand respect. Now Pia and Christina are on the same page about that. But, with everyone at each other’s throats, will Christina’s party be doomed? I’m with Leah…make sure an ambulance or two is there!

P.S. I really think Giana should pursue acting and get an agent. She has natural beauty and talent. I think she will go far. Anyone else think so???

Big Ang: Recap “Big Shots” Episode 101

Big Ang behind her bar!
Wow, wow and wow! I enjoyed this party oops, I mean first episode of the Big Ang show. We start off by listening to Big Ang telling us how she has lived her life, what she has been through and that she has had relationships with the wise-guys.  She loves everything big! Big boobs, big jewelry, a big house and has the best parties. She has been through it all - even house arrest. I can't help but wonder how many times that ankle bracelet went off. But now she states, "I'm gonna do whatever the f**k I want.” And for just that short time, I find myself agreeing with Big Ang and I think I’m gonna take on that F**K it all attitude. Big Ang spends all her time with her monkeys at the bar. She loves her crew and she loves her psychotic family. This is her life and it’s what she knows.
Big Ang, Lil Jen and Linda
Big Ang meets up with Lil Jen and Linda. They have been friends forever. Never mind how many years because their history goes way back. Big Ang says Linda is a lunatic and Lil Jen is a maniac. And that's what Big Ang likes - wackos that are loyal. They reminisce about their past and Big Ang says back in the day they were known as the sixth family. Now I' m not sure if I missed a family member, but all the names I got that are part of this family was Big Ang, Lil Jen, Crazy Linda, Patty Slaps and Wild Thing. I must say the last 2 young ladies better make it on one of the episodes because you don't get handed a nickname with slaps or wild in it for nothing. Lil Jen says she was always knows as Lil Jen until she almost died. She was in a coma for 5 months and during that time she was known as Drop Dead Jen. I'm happy to see that the nickname has dissolved. Big Ang calls Lil Jen a big baby because she's afraid to be alone. She’s 53 years old and she's afraid of the dark. Damn...so am I sometimes......
Crowd at Drunken Monkey!
Big Ang is at the Monkey and is so happy about the makeover. Dom, her brother in law, did the work and it looks great. Big Ang says the old bar was worn out. She's hoping the renovation will bring in people from out of the neighborhood. And I can personally vouch for that. When I visited the bar, there were locals, but there were a lot of people that came from afar, including myself. Everyone wanted to catch a glimpse of Big Ang. Big Ang talks about having a re-grand opening and wants to blow up the bar. She wants the monkey to be known all over the world, including Brooklyn.
Janine talks sense to Big Ang
Big Ang stops by her sister Janine's house. Janine is questioning Big Ang about paying some bills and going to the doctor. Big Ang thinks Janine is strictly business. Janine complains to Big Ang about breaking her appointment with her accountant and she better not do it again to go out drinking with her friends. Big Ang completely changes the subject and asks Janine if she has seen the new monkey yet? Big Ang tells her how she wants to plan a BIG grand opening and how she wants to hire shot guys. I see an eyeroll from Janine, but she gives Big Ang advice on how to cast for the shot guys.  She tells her sister to limit her to only 4 guys so Big Ang doesn't hire everyone and go broke. So we see that Big Ang certainly has a big heart. She says she loves money, but I think she loves to spend it on everyone else.
The interviewing!
Big Ang and Linda go to interview the shot guys. Big Ang seems to like and want to hire everyone! A very young good looking guy interviews, his name is Ricardo, and Big Ang's face lights up. I must confess I have about 15 photos of Ricardo myself. One is for the blog and the rest are for me! Big Ang says he has got swag. Her little latin lover. Linda gets a hug and confesses she's a cougar.  They finish interviewing and Big Ang decides that she can do this for a career. Well...me too if there's an actually job out there for interviewing hot shot bods! I mean boys!
Meet Ricardo!
Big Ang and Neil on a date
Big Ang goes out on a date with Neil, her so-called husband. They have been living apart. Big Ang says he has been a cheater, stay out all night, drunk. Neil says he has been behaving and would like to come back home. He has a bank acct and a new truck. Big Ang looks very surprised. He says he has changed and thinks Big Ang may like the new Neil. She tells Neil it's a good thing he’s not drinking. She claims it was no joke putting up with him for 4 years! My favorite line during this little chat was when Big Ang tells the waiter, when he asks if she would like water for the "table," she says, "water is for fish"! I wonder if she was asked that question again that night.
Big Ang goes over to visit her son AJ and his dogs.  She says she has to visit at least once a week because he’s always getting into some mess. AJ gives his mom a bag of laundry to do and Big Ang says she’s sick of laundry. Funny thing, AJ says he’s sick of it too! She tells AJ about meeting up with Neil and says she thinks Neil is rushing her. She wants AJ to come back home and live with her so he can work and buy himself designer clothes. AJ seemed to be content for now where he is.
Big Ang and Ricardo, nice!
Big Ang gets spray tanned for her big night. This woman has a body! Being tanned makes her feel young. Well the big night finally arrives. The bartenders Frank & Anthony are there, along with the  shot boys. Big Ang does shots, Linda does shots, Lil Jenn does shots, the crowd is doing shots, its just one big party. Out comes a "drunken monkey" dancing on the bar and the crowd goes crazy.

Big Ang has on a dress that is right out of the old Laugh-In show, with glasses to match. The shot boys are selling shots left and right and cashing in. Last, but not least, how can you end a night out without male dancers on the bar? There's a contest of who can collect the most dollar bills. Not surprised at all when Ricardo wins! Big Ang seems to have a big crush on Ricardo and her sexy latin dancer is making the moves. Big Ang is dancing, the crowd is hollering, Neil comes walking in, he takes a few looks, walks out and the night seems like its just about to end.
Neil trying to worm his way back into Big Ang's heart
In the last scene Big Ang, Janine, Lil Jenn and Linda are sitting outside the monkey on a bench. They are all claiming to have had a lot of fun and it was one of their best nights! At that moment, Big Ang realizes she has a husband. Big Ang says she needs to tell them all something. She says she's thinking about letting Neil move back in. Janine is delighted! Being the big/little sis she is, I'm not surprised she's happy. She only wants the best for her sister and likes Neil. Lil Jenn seems happy too, but Linda says Big Ang needs a man and Neil hasn't manned up. There's lots of shut-up Jennifers, as the girls are all voicing their opinions, and finally Big Ang decides she better sleep on it.  She says she’s always making decisions on Patrone. I think that was a good idea. So the show ends. I guess Big Ang gets some rest and well see what happens next week. Will there be another party just as big? I think so. Tune in to VH1 next Sunday for some more fun with Big Ang and her crew.

Big Ang: Happy Birthday Big Ang!

Big Ang on Next Magazine!
Today is Big Ang's birthday and all I can think is that this celebration will be grand. Big Ang loves to party, something she learned from her uncle, "Sally Dogs." Whatever her plans are, I hope her day is filled with fun, family and lots of bling!  Big Ang claims she always gets what she wants so I hope she wished for the stars! Happy Birthday to the very loveable Mob Wife from all of us at the blog!

I came across this photo and realized Marilyn Monroe's signature song certainly sums up a lot of what Big Ang is like. I can almost hear it playing in the background of her show or as her theme song.

Big Ang tweeted this cake!
I guess Big Ang is celebrating with her younger sister, Janine, either on the same day or very close to Big Ang's day. So happy birthday to both sisters! Wow! What a cake!

Mob Wives Chicago: Recap “When Renee Attacks” Ep 104

To contact us Click HERE
It's not called, "When Renee Attacks" for nothing!

At the café Renee meets Nora and her friend, Julie, for lunch. Nora says things have been rocky with Renee and Renee is trying to be a good sport since Julie is in town visiting. Nora feels that Renee is playing dumb about hurting her feelings. Nora says she trusts Julie and throws digs at Renee at the table. Nora then gets into the issue of Renee being late to her father’s memorial luncheon. Renee thinks Nora has issues and is making a mountain out of a molehill. Renee is angry that Nora is throwing things in her face. The only thing they agree on is that neither one of them is being a good friend to the other.

Leah and Christina go for drinks and a meal, just to hang out. Leah says she doesn’t trust Nora as far as she can throw her. She feels Nora weaseled out of making an apology to her for the way she treated Leah at the Italian Fest. Leah says Nora may not like her, but she is going to respect her. Christina says she wants to have a one on one with Pia to clear the air. Leah agrees.

You don't need a third kid.
Renee goes to lunch with her friend of 25 years, Chrissy. Renee goes into the whole story with Nora and how she got upset because Renee was a little late to the luncheon. Then she has the nerve to throw digs at Renee about it when she met Nora and her friend Julie for lunch. Renee says Nora was pissed off when she got there and was being a complete moron. Chrissy says Nora is not a real friend and Renee doesn’t need a third kid. Renee feels she helped Nora a lot when she came back to Chicago. Chrissy says Nora is making an ass of her. Renee feels Nora is taking advantage of her kindness.

Nora and Pia take their dogs for grooming. They have to wash their own dogs and neither is happy about that. Nora tells Pia about Renee’s outrageous voicemail and text messages. She plays the message and it says, “B!tch got “F” yourself!” Pia is shocked at all the cursing because Renee told her off for dropping an “F” bomb at her place of business. Pia doesn’t get it, why is Renee so vile? Nora shows her the text messages that Renee sent saying Nora is an “ungrateful drunk.” In the texts Renee also asks for her money and clothes back.

I tell my dad A to W, just not X,Y,and Z
Christina and Leah have dinner with Leah’s dad, “Wolf,” who she knows since she was ten years old. Leah and her dad are best friends, she tells him everything. Well not everything, just A to W, she keeps the XYZ’s to herself (doing the nasty). Leah says her parents were divorced when she was an infant and her father wanted to raise her himself. Christina tells them she wants to talk to her dad and tell him she is divorced. Leah feels bad that Christina doesn’t have an open relationship with her father like Leah does. Wolf tells her she needs to talk to her dad and get it out in the open. Stop making excuses. Leah says get him a little tipsy first, then tell him.

Nora goes to Renee’s house to return the money and clothes she borrowed. She drops off $350, a suitcase and some clothes. Renee complains it’s not all the money and clothes she lent her. Renee wants Nora to have a seat so she can get some stuff off her chest. Nora is shocked and jumps up of the couch to make a run for it. They start to argue. Nora says, “You’re the biggest loser!” Renee says she was late because her daughter was sick. She tells Nora to call AA. Nora ends up screaming, “I hope you lose your daughter!” and storms out. Renee is in shock. Renee says, “I’m coming for you when you least expect it!”

Moving on in the friendship!
Christina and Pia meet once again to discuss their friendship at the Tap House. They discuss the fight and how it should have never happened. They both say they are guilty of talking about the other behind their backs. They want to move forward. They have been close friends and miss each other. They both hug and decide to bury the hatchet. Pia says she doesn’t want her friendship with Nora to come between them, she feels sorry for Nora. They both apologize. Pia announces to Christina that she is getting her boobs redone.

At Renee’s apartment we learn that Nora has dropped off some money that she borrowed from Renee and some, NOT ALL, of the clothes Renee lent to her. Dave walks in and she tells him what happened between her and Nora. Specifically, she tells him that Nora came over and got pissy and ended by saying “I hope you lose your daughter.” Dave doesn’t react at all. That only makes Renee even more pissed! He says he doesn’t know exactly what happened, maybe she was having a bad day. Renee says Nora lost her mind and Dave is as supportive as a “wet f*ckin’ noodle.”

Christina is meeting her dad, Raymond Janek, at his cigar club to tell him that she is divorced. First they do a little reminiscing and Christina tries a cigar herself. She says her dad wasn’t around much when she was a kid, he spent a lot of time in jail. The way he looks at it, he was trying to teach people a lesson not to keep valuables in the trunk. Christina finally gets up the nerve to tell him she is divorced from her husband. He answers that he wishes she never told him, “what happened to her vows?” She tries to tell him times are different now, but he doesn’t want to discuss it. She was hoping for his support, but got nothing. Still she feels relieved and it’s a big weight lifted off her shoulders.

Nora and Pia meet up at the gym. Pia asks her about her meeting with Renee. Nora tells her that she returned Renee’s things and was told to sit down because Renee had some things to talk about. Nora tells Pia that Renee ended up calling her a drunk and was pointing her finger in her face. Nora swears that Renee was trying to provoke her into a fight. Nora is fed up with Renee. Pia is disgusted, first Renee calls her a whore and then she calls Nora an alcoholic.

Pia goes to the doctor for her new breast implants. She is nervous, but she needs to look good for work. Besides, her boobs are a tax write-off anyway.

Leah meets Renee for lunch. Renee says she wants to give her the down-low on Nora. She says Nora came to her house and Renee told her they needed to talk. Nora didn’t want to talk and got up to leave saying, “I hope you lose your daughter!” Leah’s reaction: you never say that to anyone, I don’t care who it is or what they’ve done, they are still a mother. Leah doesn’t trust Nora so she feels she has to take Renee’s story as true. Leah tells Renee about the meeting the others all had to make amends. Renee tells Leah she will never forgive Nora for what she said to her. Leah says, she would stab her with a knife for saying that. Renee is not done with Nora.

Pia is recuperating from surgery and Nora stops by to see how she is doing. Pia wants to know what Nora is going to do about Renee. Nora answers that it’s a friendship of 40 years. Nora is hurt and confused because she and Renee have never fought before and have always been close, like sisters. She keeps saying how hurt and devastated she is by this fight. Nora says she will give Renee the benefit of the doubt and wants to see where she is coming from. Pia says she supports Nora, but doesn’t think Renee will ever apologize to her.

Nora tries to grab Renee's finger
Nora calls Renee to arrange a sit down to discuss what happened and put it behind them. Renee agrees to meet Nora. Nora wants to work things out and feels she is owed an apology. Nora hopes Renee has a good excuse for attacking her. Renee says she doesn’t care if Nora gets hit by a bus. Renee can’t believe that Nora has the nerve to want to meet with her. Nora feels that if things don’t work out, Renee is history. Nora begins by talking first. She tells Renee that have been friends forever, but Renee showed disrespect to her and her father by arriving late to the memorial lunch and then abruptly leaving early. Renee isn’t saying anything, Nora does all the talking. Renee says she was giving her enough rope to hang herself. Nora adds that Renee left her a terrible voice mail, she treated her badly and her pointing her finger in her face hurt her too. Renee starts talking and points her finger in Nora’s face. Nora tells her to get her finger out of her face, as she goes to grab it. Nora says she is sorry for what she said about Renee’s daughter, but she felt attacked. Renee doesn’t care! She starts yelling, “I’m coming for you! I’m coming for you strong b!tch!” They get in each other’s faces. Nora looks likes she is leaving, but then turns around and comes back to hit Renee in the face. Renee goes ballistic and chases Nora and throws her down to the floor. The bouncers break them up almost immediately.  Nora sounds very shook up as she says, “Renee is dead to me!”

The bouncers break it up before anyone loses any hair!

MY TWO CENTS

Another week where I have to take this mob wife by mob wife. I feel a lot more comfortable watching now that I have a good feel for all the women. No more confusion and their accents are growing on me.

Pia. Pia needs a boob job? Ok if she says so, but I think she looked fine to me. I’m not a believer in plastic surgery, but I guess if she makes a case that it’s important for her job, who am I to say no? But how many times do you have to have your boobs redone in one lifetime? Is there a limit? I’m glad she worked things out with Christina, but will Nora eventually come in the way o their friendship? Nora and Christina don’t mix and Pia is in the middle…not the best place to be. I’m not sure why Pia tolerates the insults and judgmental attitude of Nora. Looks like they are going to have a little fight next week according to the previews.

Christina. Christina has at least one, good, solid, long term friend in Leah, and vice versa. I have to say I am not one who believes in keeping secrets from children, especially when it concerns family matters. If you recall, I came down hard on Carla for not telling the kids Joe was in prison all those years. I can understand wanting to protect your children from the hard facts of life, but they are going to find out anyway at some point and don’t you want them to find out from you? Why risk their learning about it from another source or overhearing something? Kids don’t understand you are trying to protect them, they will feel betrayed and it could become a trust issue later. It sends the wrong message, if you want your kids to be open and honest with you. I hope her talk with her daughter, once she has it, goes well. Divorce doesn’t make kids happy, but it’s a fact of life and they adjust. Maybe, once she tells her daughter, the two of them can move out on their own and there will be less stress and tension?

Leah. Leah is a peacemaker, but she takes no BS from anyone. You have to laugh at her when she is joking, but when she is mad, run for the hills! The things she comes out with are hilarious. I really don’t see her having serious issues with anyone. If Nora ever gets the chance to disrespect her again, and I hope she thinks twice about doing that, I’m sure Leah will let her have it and move on. After hearing what Nora said to Renee about her daughter, I think Leah will not let her guard down with her.

Renee. They didn’t call this “When Renee Attacks” for nothing! Renee has had more fights than anyone in four episodes. She argued with Pia, she argued with Dave, she argued with Giana, and now she is arguing with Nora, the person she is supposed to have the most history with. I’m getting the feeling that Renee likes to argue. None of the arguments were on solid ground either, in my opinion. She got mad at Pia for pole dancing, which is none of her business. She got mad at Pia because she imagined she had a “thing” with her boyfriend, Dave. She got mad at Dave because she imagined he had a “thing” with Pia and wouldn’t admit it. She got mad at Nora because Julie was wearing her shirt and because Nora had a pissy attitude with her for being late to the luncheon for her dad. She argued with Giana for going to see her dad. All of these things did not have to end in a screaming session.

However, that being said, Nora’s comment about hoping Renee loses her daughter, was unforgivable. That is more than enough to end a friendship over. A line has been crossed and words said that cannot be taken back. Sure she said it out of hurt and anger, but it’s inexcusable. Renee is no stranger to saying nasty things to everyone either, and she likes to hit below the belt herself. She has say some really bad things about Pia and now she keeps calling Nora an alcoholic. But, Nora’s comment to Renee really puts her in a bad light now and I don’t know how she is going to maintain relationships with the other women.

Nora. I don’t think Nora wants to get into any physical confrontations. I’ve seen her blurt things out and offend and insult people and then just brush it off with a “let bygones be bygones” mention. You can’t keep doing that and get away with it. Once you say something hurtful, it’s a cloud over the relationship till the end of time. People do not forget hurtful things. So to call Pia, your friend, a whore several times, is wrong. She isn’t a different person because she pole dances for a living. She is the same person she always was and there should be acceptance not judgment, where she is concerned. As for her comment to Renee, I can understand why Nora was angry about Renee being late and the voice mail and texts messages. Renee really provoked her. But her striking back with that comment about hoping she loses her daughter, really didn’t sit well with anyone, let alone Renee. This is the fuel for a huge finale fight. Mark my words! You heard it from me first. You don’t mention innocent kids and attack a mother, using her kid as a weapon. All hell is going to break loose. Who will side with Nora now?

What did you think of episode four? Are you getting more comfortable and into the show? Someone said it me it’s not like Mob Wives. No, it’s not the same. You have different women, different issues, different histories. The drama is heating up. What are your thoughts now?

Mob Wives: Drita On Hip Hop Squares!

Drita laughing at jokes!Excuse the fuzzy TV pictures.
I was watching Hip Hop Squares last night just to see Drita D'Avanzo! Yes, this cricket was up watching a show I am not interested in, that is basically a watered down, low budget version of Hollywood Squares. Drita had a blast on the show. She found all her fellow hip hop artists very funny. I was interested in seeing how Drita would answer her question when asked.

Drita poised for her Question!
The question directed at Drita is: What happens if you give someone and inch? Drita answers: You definitely won't get a second date! I literally laughed out loud! That was funny. Then she said the real answer, "They'll take a mile." Unfortunately, for the contestant, she didn't agree with Drita's answer and said, "they'll take a foot." I was looking forward to Drita answering more questions, but it was not happening.

It was great seeing Drita in another setting where there was no talk of fighting, cursing, or arguing. I really enjoyed it.

Mob Wives: New Book & Birthday News!

First news item being reported is Big Ang is writing a book! The book is due to be released on September 11th, too early for a Christmas present because no one is going to wait to buy it and read it. The title of the book is  "Bigger Is Better: Real Life Wisdom from the No-Drama Mama." Can you begin to imagine all the Big Ang wisdom running through those pages? Maybe chapters on "How To Date a Wise Guy?," "Where To Hide Your Diamonds From The Feds," and "Three Strikes Your Out" on marriage. I think, like Big Ang, the book is going to be hilarious. Big Ang just celebrated a birthday, June 30th, and more celebrations are in her future!
REMINDER! BIG ANG's Show premieres tomorrow night @ 9ET/8C on VH1

Speaking of birthdays, a favorite mob wife of ours is having a birthday very soon! Renee Graziano will be celebrating her official birthday July 12th. However, I have read tweets that there may be a series of parties, here, there and everywhere. As I have said before, Renee knows how to have a great time with her Life-of-the Party personality. I'll be keeping an eye on things.

Guess who has a birthday today? None other than Karen's beautiful, little angel, Karina! Karina turns 13 years old today! Anyone with children in their family knows how important the BIG 13 is to kids. Being a teenager is one of the milestones they all look forward to. We, at the blog wish Karina a very, very Happy Birthday and hope that her special day is everything she hopes it will be! xoxoxo

"Slade's stand up brings mixed emotions for me since things with Gretchen are so much better this year. The battle between me, Gretchen, Slade, and Vicki has been going on for years and it is by far not one sided. I don't like the fact that Slade is acting like the victim, as if our "accusations" ruined his life. He is just as much to blame. His stand up is a perfect example of the things that have happened to put a wedge in our friendship through out the years. I am not condoning any of what has gone on between us. We were all to blame for this long and hurtful fight. We are all responsible for our own actions. I was just hoping that when me and Gretchen started patching things up that Slade would lay off a little. I guess it is going to take him some time to get to that point?

I actually felt sorry for Gretchen, you could see on her face that she was not happy that Slade went against her wishes. I know it caused a lot of problems between everyone. I'm sure it did with them too. The big questions is "Why weren't Vicki and I invited?' I think we all know the answer to that question! On the flipside, I know he was doing stand-up comedy and I have yet to see a comedian that isn't ripping on someone just to get a laugh. . .but I didn't hear much laughing going on that night! I think Slade's mom should have been on stage. She cracks me up.One thing that I don't like is when men degrade woman about their looks. No one is perfect. So many woman are insecure and battle eating disorders and have plastic surgery because they have been put down by men. NO COOL!"Read Tamra's entire Bravo blog here

"As a mother myself, if my child committed a small, stupid, low-level crime and ended up in jail, I would want to teach them a lesson for sure," Cynthia explains in her Bravo blog. However, I would never want my child in a situation that could be dangerous or even fatal. I would worry myself to death! I believe in tough love, but I guess you really don't know how you will react until you are actually put in that situation. My heart really went out to NeNe, because I knew what she was going through. She was very conflicted, because even though Bryson is a young man, he is still her baby.  I'm just glad Bryson is OK, and I hope he learned his lesson. If he goes back again, Lord help him, because NeNe may just call the judge herself and tell him to keep him in there!"
