Chiara's Mobbed Up Christmas!

To contact us Click HERE

As the Mob Wives take a break from filming to celebrate the holidays, so do bloggers. I have been busy preparing for Christmas trying to get everyone gifts they will appreciate, planning special dishes and desserts I know they will enjoy, and then shopping, baking and cooking. I love having my family around me, laughing, joking, and enjoying time together. But Mob Wives is always running in the background of my mind and when it's not, there is always a reminder lurking around every corner.
Today is Christmas and my brother got me a special gift. He wanted to surprise me and he really did. He ordered the first month of our blogs to be bound in a book for me (above) and he wrapped the package about ten times. I had to go through layer after layer of wrapping paper to open it. When I did you can imagine I was shocked. There was a book inside and it had all the blogs we wrote in April 2011 when Mob Wives season one premiered. This is what it looks like on the inside:

I don't know what made him think of doing this for me, but he loves to make me happy. I went through the book and saw my very first recap in there. It seems like it was forever ago, but it was only a little over a year and a half. I love it! Now this was the perfect way to psyche me up for season three! I can't wait to write new and fresh blogs capturing all the drama I know we are going to see plus my two cents. Be sure you are watching too, on January 6th at 8 PM ET on VH1...less than two weeks from today!
Merry Mobbed-Up Christmas to me! And I hope all of you had the best Christmas ever!

Mob Doctor: Confessions & Sibling Rivalry

Yes, a horse.  We'll get to this.
It seems like it's been forever since I did a recap, and to make up for that, I'm doing a DOUBLE RECAP.  That's right.  You may be unaware that Mob Doctor aired one of the remaining episodes on a "special night," aka Saturday night, aka a night that no one watches television.  And they also aired an episode on another special night, known to many as New Year's Eve.  So things are going well.

Before I begin, congratulations are in order, as one of the Mob Doctor stars, Zach Gilford, got married last week.  Cheers for your nuptials, and the freedom to star on a better show.
The only way one can prepare for watching 2 Mob Doctor episodes

CONFESSIONS

Grace meets up with Constantine at his bakery, figuring he needs an insulin shot.  But what he really wants to talk to her about is the fact that she was spotted helping King and Franco in the last episode.  Constantine now assumes that Franco is the one who referred King to her.  Now Constantine tells Grace he wants to know everything she knows about Franco and he wants Franco DEAD.

Grace tells Franco he's in danger but he says he needs to stay on the inside with King for now.  He tries to hook King up with forklifts or something for some reason.  I'm going to be honest... I've been paying very little attention to the "mob" aspect of this show.  From here on out I am just going to assume everything is about video poker machines.

So Franco is going to hook King up with some forklifts so he can lift video poker machines.  When the forklift guy finds out King is from Detroit, he FLIPS.  He doesn't work with people from Detroit because he lost $100,000 on a Bulls game 20 years ago.  But he throws King some trivia about Chicago until he's satisfied that he's actually from there.  Now the poker machines can be lifted.

So Grace has a patient who is a priest with a nasty infection on his cheek.  He was performing an exorcism on a woman when the demon who was using her body as a vessel bit him.  Here we go again.

Brett is in on this demon case and says something about "an exorcism in 2013."  Aw Brett.  Too bad this episode aired in 2012.

Constantine tells King he can't forklift around any poker machines without kicking into the syndicate.  In my opinion, Constantine is focusing too much on the organization and not enough on the CRIME.  I mean is this the mob, or what?  I don't know why this man expects everyone to agree to play by the rules.

FYI
So Nate is sent with Gio and Louie (aka Danny Romalotti Jr.) to do some errand for Constantine and probably pick up $5,000 he made from the poker machines.  So Louie goes in this store, we hear a gunshot and then all of a sudden Louie runs out chasing this kid.  They catch him and Louie says Constantine's guy on the inside of the shop got killed and they need to take care of this kid.  Nate gets worried because the kid is unconscious so he calls Grace.

The priest's leg goes numb and they think he had a stroke as a result of the infection.  Brett goes to take a spinal tap, which is never good.  On these shows, any time someone gets a spinal tap, something is about to go down.  The priest starts threatening Brett and Dr. White with a needle.  Meanwhile the possessed woman has passed away and now another priest thinks the demon is in the first priest.

Now Constantine is trying to create a triumvirate within his syndicate.  What is this man doing????  Well neither of his two partners in "crime" are digging this idea, so he sweetens the deal by going behind their backs and offering each of them 50% of the profits.  Leaving him with... nothing?  But he claims they'll never agree on anything, so in the end, he'll make all of the decisions and all of the money?

So they find out the possessed woman actually had rabies.  And now the priest has rabies.  And rabies can hardly be treated once symptoms are showing, so he's pretty much a goner.  But in the beginning of the episode, Grace cut herself on a scalpel and now she was exposed to the rabies!  So Brett tries frantically to call her so she can get treated.

Grace can't be bothered to return any of his 7 phone calls, because the teen Nate called about has woken up and won't talk.  Nate goes to Constantine to ask him about it, and Constantine is like, you kidnapped this kid, you're STUNAD, let him go.  Now he sounds like my mom.

Grace is alone with the kid, but he's having an asthma attack.  She needs to get an inhaler from her car, so she leaves him alone with Danny Romalotti, which means he's about to do something dumb.  She comes back and the kid is unconscious, so she gives him a shot of epinephrine, which revives him.  Then she notices he's been strangled!  Danny pulls a gun on her but then Nate comes in and shoots him in the back.  That's when the kid admits that Danny shot the guy in the store and stole the $5,000.

Constantine and his triumvirate go to King and they're like, we want 30 cents of every dollar you make forklifting the poker machines. And he's like, I don't like this but OK, I guess that's how the mob works in Chicago.

Constantine is coming for Franco, and now Franco is on the run.  P.S. Grace got her rabies shots.

SIBLING RIVALRY

At the beginning of this episode, someone sends Constantine a bottle of champagne rigged with explosives.
Champagne for my real friends, real pain for my sham friends
A VIP comes in for surgery, and they specifically request Brett.  Turns out the patient is his brother, and I guess in this universe it's totally cool to operate on family members?  In the ER, Grace is grilling Brett with a thousand questions, including why his last name isn't Hanson like his brother, and so on.  You know what Grace?  These would have been nice things to find out about Brett while you guys were a couple.

They start moving into surgery and Dr White says Brett is hands off from this point.  Thank god someone on this show has a lick of sense.

Grace has a patient come in saying she has abdominal pain.  Grace discharges her without giving her a CT scan because the patient has come in 81 times this year looking for drugs.  What year would that be, 2013?

Now for the horse!  Nate calls Grace in a panic.  He was trying to get very valuable sperm from this race horse, so he and his friend gave it viagara, and now the horse is experiencing an erection lasting longer than 4 hours, so Nate contacted his health services provider.  What show am I watching?

Grace calls Ro to bring her drugs and apples for this ridiculous plot line. Grace is all, I don't have time to deal with this stupid horse, and yet there she goes, feeding pills to a HORSE.

Grace's drug addict comes back, but now she's on Brett's brother's case so Olivia has to treat her.  I don't know why everyone in the hospital expects Grace to deal with this drug addict every one of the 83 times she comes in for drugs a year.  Like, doctors don't have assigned patients they treat every time they come on so Olivia is complaining it's not fair, but that is dumb. Olivia decides to one up Grace and gives the patient a CT scan, and finds out that she needs surgery or else she will die.  So that's the end of this plot.

Brett hasn't seen his brother since his mom died, and we get a bunch of Brett backstory.  His brother is getting worse so they need to find out how he fell to see what kind of injuries he might have.  They get a video of the crash which shows him passing out before he even falls off the bike, so now they have a new set of questions.

Meanwhile, Nate is going nuts because the pills Grace gave the horse are making him "aggro."  And I'm really tired of the horse now, I don't even think this plotline got resolved.

As it turns out, Brett's brother got a UV tattoo of his boss's name, because they are having an affair.  He got the tattoo in Barbados, which his boss knew, but she denied that he had been out of the country recently when they were trying to find out if he could have a weird infection.  Like, ok, fine, lie in front of the family, but then pull a doctor to the side and say, hey by the way, I was lying.  Then she has the nerve to cry and ask the doctors to save his life!  After you withheld important medical information???

They save his life, anyway.

Constantine tracks down where his champagne came from, and it led him to Titus.  But Titus doesn't know anything about it.  It turns out, it was his brother who Grace had saved from being poisoned by his wife in one of the first episodes.  Constantine shoots him.  All's well that ends well.

At the very end, some man shows up for Constantine and Constantine is like, who is this?  I never forget a face.  And the guy is like, Oh really?  It's me dad.

Bombshell

The next episode is airing on another special night!  So catch it this Saturday.  Or don't.  Whatever, do what you want.  And after that, just one episode to go!

Stay tuned for what will certainly be a satisfying conclusion.

"Slade's stand up brings mixed emotions for me since things with Gretchen are so much better this year. The battle between me, Gretchen, Slade, and Vicki has been going on for years and it is by far not one sided. I don't like the fact that Slade is acting like the victim, as if our "accusations" ruined his life. He is just as much to blame. His stand up is a perfect example of the things that have happened to put a wedge in our friendship through out the years. I am not condoning any of what has gone on between us. We were all to blame for this long and hurtful fight. We are all responsible for our own actions. I was just hoping that when me and Gretchen started patching things up that Slade would lay off a little. I guess it is going to take him some time to get to that point?

I actually felt sorry for Gretchen, you could see on her face that she was not happy that Slade went against her wishes. I know it caused a lot of problems between everyone. I'm sure it did with them too. The big questions is "Why weren't Vicki and I invited?' I think we all know the answer to that question! On the flipside, I know he was doing stand-up comedy and I have yet to see a comedian that isn't ripping on someone just to get a laugh. . .but I didn't hear much laughing going on that night! I think Slade's mom should have been on stage. She cracks me up.One thing that I don't like is when men degrade woman about their looks. No one is perfect. So many woman are insecure and battle eating disorders and have plastic surgery because they have been put down by men. NO COOL!"Read Tamra's entire Bravo blog here

"As a mother myself, if my child committed a small, stupid, low-level crime and ended up in jail, I would want to teach them a lesson for sure," Cynthia explains in her Bravo blog. However, I would never want my child in a situation that could be dangerous or even fatal. I would worry myself to death! I believe in tough love, but I guess you really don't know how you will react until you are actually put in that situation. My heart really went out to NeNe, because I knew what she was going through. She was very conflicted, because even though Bryson is a young man, he is still her baby.  I'm just glad Bryson is OK, and I hope he learned his lesson. If he goes back again, Lord help him, because NeNe may just call the judge herself and tell him to keep him in there!"

Mob Wives: Renee, Karen & Ramona on WPIX

Some interesting conversation!
Today, Renee, Karen and Ramona were interviewed live on WPIX in New York City about a variety of subjects. Of course, they couldn’t discuss too much of the storyline to season three, but I did managed to capture a few pictures and choice quotes to share with those of you who missed it.
When Karen was asked about how things are with Drita , she said they are cordial and have agreed to disagree. They are not on the same page when it comes to the definition of friendship and that issue is settled.
Gotta LOVE Renee!
Then Renee was asked about Carla and said, “What can you say about  a chick that spends so much time on her knees?” Renee says that Carla “stepped over the bounds drastically. Addiction is a serious illness and to be called a junkie is disgraceful. She is ignorant, there are millions of people suffering from addiction.” Renee adds, every day is a struggle, but she is doing good.
A serious moment about "Sandy" victims
They go on to discuss Hurricane Sandy. Ramona says they were personally affected because her  daughter’s religion teacher lost a daughter in Sandy. They all discuss how they started Mob Wives Saving Lives to give back to those who lost so much in Staten Island because Federal Aid wasn‘t coming fast enough.  They actually raised money and went down there to see the places that were hard hit. Ramona explained how she and Karen went down the first day it happened, it was rough. She adds if you weren’t down there you  didn’t see the true devastation. They also share that there was a lot of unity of people helping people and everyone in New York was affected. Community helping a community. Karen says she is proud to be a New Yorker.
Moving on to “new character,” Love Majewski. Love is friends with Karen and Ramona. They all went to school together growing up, and she is friends with Renee. Renee says, “I’m not the crazy one this year.” (I guess that means lots of action/drama from Love!)
Renee is asked about her plastic surgery. She says she is healthy, but unfortunately one more surgery necessary, otherwise she is good.
That about wraps up the short, but informative little interview from this morning.
Now this is the way I see things stacking up so far: Renee, Karen, Ramona and Love are TEAM #1 and Carla, Drita and Big Ang make up TEAM #2. Hmmmm…so Drita has vowed to give up fighting AND Big Ang doesn’t like to fight at all, she runs from drama. Joe and the “young girl” aren’t too thrilled with Carla’s antics either. So does that mean Carla stands alone? Reminds of the cheese in the Farmer in the Dell, I think it was Limburger
In case you can’t recall the lyrics, here is a little video:

Oh Carla does have one person on her “Team” and I guess that comes in “Handy,” when things are stacked the way they are? And I guess she is trying to recruit more “team” members because for $30 a pop you can also get your very own T-Shirt. Seriously? I think NOT!

Mob Wives: Drita Made Me Who I Am Today!

To contact us Click HERE
FOLLOW ME ON TWITTER @ChiaraSoprano1
I know this may come as a big shock to most of you. Who in the world would ever think I would credit Drita for being such a big influence on my life? Certainly not me of all people. But you know, sometimes you just have to give credit where credit is due, and I do.
Drita and I were getting along just fine. No harsh words. No threats. No bad blood or blogs. Then, out of the blue, she turned on me. Why? Mob Mistress had written a blog about her that she didn’t like. I had nothing to do with it. The next thing I know Drita is telling everyone we are a fake blog and that we are actually Karen and Ramona. I’m not sure who I was supposed to be? But in either case, I took it as a compliment. Imagine Karen taking time out of writing her best seller, Mob Daughter, to write blogs about her own show? Not to mention all the other things she had going on in her life. Imagine Ramona having time to spare, after working all day and raising four children, to sit down and change her whole linguistic style just for a blog? No one could ever mistake my style for Ramona’s, and yet Drita persisted every day telling all her fans we were Karen and Ramona. And that is what eventually led to my transformation.
I was once just an ordinary blogger, someone who loved to write and just needed a subject to write about. Mob Wives fell into my lap. I got hooked on the show and the cast members, with the exception of Carla, who I never liked from day one. But then Drita started her anti-blog campaign against our blog and me, and started calling us “haters” and “crickets” and saying we were “chirping,” whenever we posted anything about her. At first I didn’t take too kindly to being called a cricket. It doesn’t come off sounding very flattering does it, especially from someone who dislikes you. But soon, after reading it day after day after day, I grew to like it. It almost started sounding like a term of endearment, like honey, sweetie or Boo.
I even have a T-Shirt!
And then one day I was informed that I had to change my icon on Twitter. No copyrighted pictures allowed! And I thought, what the hell am I going to use that people can relate to? Then the “Cricket” came to me! Why not be a chirping cricket? I already have all that free PR from Drita promoting me to all her fans. So I changed my icon to the one above and people loved it! Who knew? Of all the things in this world I could have grown up to be, I grew up to be a cricket. And, I owe it all to Drita D’Avanzo…chirp, chirp!
P.S. After watching the SUPERTRAILER several times, it seems to me we have a new and improved Drita on the show. She doesn’t want to be violent any more. Now everyone seems to be confiding in her, especially Renee and Carla, and she seems to be playing the role of “peacemaker.” Can this really be? I also get the impression she is trying to forge a truce with Ramona, though she still can’t seem to look her in the eye. If this is the case, then I may have to soften my stand on Drita, my mentor, and focus my chirping energy elsewhere…guess where?

Mob Wives: Out With "The Old"

Joe's Midnight Kiss!
It's a new year and it's time for that saying, "Out with the old and in with the new!" And that sure applies to Joe and Carla and season three of Mob Wives. Carla has been throwing digs and daggers at this new "young girl, Joe thinks he can throw in her face." Carla shouldn't make it so obvious just how jealous she is and chill out. Otherwise, she just may get some frown lines.

Meanwhile, from the looks of the picture above, Joe and his young girlfriend really know how to celebrate New Year's Eve! Joe has some serious swagger and, is that an old fashioned "dip" he has pulled off, with the kiss? Yeah, I think so. Joe is a charismatic, romantic and I do believe Carla is still hooked on him. We'll get to see more of this on season three when she has to deal with the fact Joe and Girlfriend are moving in together. As the saying goes...out with the "old"...and poof Carla has been replaced in Joe's heart, his life and his home.

Carmen helping pick out new paint!
In the picture above, Joe's daughter, Carmen, is helping pick out the paint for Joe and Raquel's new home below. It looks like they are doing a great job of of painting too.
Here is the "paint crew" at work in their new home!
Now I also managed to find a couple of pictures of Carla's New Year's Eve to compare. Carla has been with Handy Man for at least a couple of years, more or less, so this is nothing new. But here you go:
They went all out on glasses! BUT couldn't they find a pair of 2013?Maybe it's me?
Carla's New Year's Eve!
So there you have it! Who do you think did a better job of getting rid of the "old" and bringing in the "new"? I have my thoughts about it. Do you?
