The grave site of Frank SchweihsCovered with plywood after Tuesday's exhumation.Yesterday, Tuesday June 12, I came across a few articles reporting that Nora Schwiehs had succeeded in getting permission from the court to exhume her father’s body for cremation. Nora has expressed how unsettled she has been since her father died of cancer in prison in 2008 and she was never able to view his body. She wants to verify that the body in the grave is in fact her father. His remains were taken to a local funeral home. Nora has stated that she was told, back in 2008, that her father’s body was allegedly taken by the FBI. The FBI denies any connection with Frank Sweichs. Though Frank Schwiehs was never convicted of any murders, he is suspected of being a notorious mob hit man for the Chicago Outfit.
Frank SchweihsNora explains that she needed to do this in order to finally get closure to her father’s death. When news reporters approached Jennifer Graziano, she declined to comment on the exhumation except to say that Nora was understandably upset. Video of the news account below.
